Dutch mixed-media designer YouEcho and Chinese singer-songwriter Wu Zhuoling send eachother musical sketches. Once these sketches are coloured it sounds like a warm blanket you don’t want to take off anymore.
YouEcho (NL) and Zhuoling Wu (CN) met each other during a tour in China (2008). They share the passion for melancholic ambient indietronics. So they decide to cooperate through the internet. So far this resulted in songs for two music-animations, You Echo The Hills (2009) and The Fisherman & The Watering Can (2010), and liveshows in Europe (2010, 2014) and China (2009).
In 2015 YouEcho vs Zhuoling’s debut-album My Dearest Sea 我最亲爱的海 is released at the Chinese label Tree Music (mp3/cd/vinyl). Distribution in Europe by Cabin Music.
YouEcho is a former drummer and percussionist in electronic bands like MRmoody, Flugroove and Monokino. In the recent years he has specialized himself in melancholy musical narrations. Performed live on special locations at Crosslinx, Noorderzon (Format GAVA), Incubate, Sonsbeek Theater Avenue, Schiedam Schittert, Waterliniefestival, Blikopener festival, Torpedotheater and in Beijing (China).
Zhuoling Wu is a singer-songwriter and music producer from Chengdu China, and founder of the band Wednesday’s Trip in Beijing. In Tibet she lived a reclusive live for some years refining her personal style. She toured all over China and parts of Europe, with 6 albums issued so far by the most influential indie labels in China, like Modern Sky. The elegant melodies, deep vocals, female perspective story-telling lyrics and mystic tranquil atmosphere always endow her music a pure and unique quality.
